The Al Massira Dam is a gravity dam located 30 km south west of El borouj on the Oum Er-Rbia River in Settat Province, Morocco. Completed in 1979, the dam provides water for the irrigation of over 100,000 ha (247,105 acres) of farmland in the Doukkala region. The dam's hydroelectric power plant also generates 221 GWh on average annually. The power station was commissioned in 1980. Just to the north of the dam is a rip rap saddle dam to support water elevation in the reservoir.[2] The dam's reservoir and wetlands were designated as a Ramsar site in 2005

After March the temperature may be reach over 43, fish found in these waters are mainly black bass, Common carp, Silver carp and Grass carp, also you can catch some Barb, Zander, Bluegill and Gambusie.
